Sign express R-series + siser vyflex problems

Recommended Posts

Hello, im having some major problems with my Sign express R-series 31 inch cutter and trying to cut siser vyflex (some say this is siser easyweed with a dif. name). As i feed it and start to cut the film slides around and creases while it cuts, i cant seem to get the film to feed straight.

Iv'e used oracal vinyl film that is much thicker without any problems and iv'e tried to adjust the pinch rollers but that does not help anything. Any help i could get would be great, im getting desperate as I planned to use my cutter mainly for t-shirts, the sign warehouse forum said that this cutter was perhaps not such a good choice for t-shirt films....

I only use easy weed but are you sure you have it the right way the dull side is up and the clear shiny plastic goes down.  Sounds like there is a chance you have it reversed causing it to slip on the rollers??

I am not familiar with that machine but looking at it quick it looks similar to the pcut and I would think it would be fine for cutting easyweed....

i have had this issue before with large rolls on the back of my cutter. the feeder does not have enough pressure to pull and seperate the roll. i load my cutter and unroll some of the vinyl from the roll so the cutter can cut it.
