Is "downforce" the same as the pressure setting on the LP Cutter?

I want to cut a rhinestone template and the downforce is recommended at 250.  Is that term the same as the pressure setting on the LP24?

yes, you would need more force for cutting that than regular vinyl

according to the instructions, I have set the pressure as high as it will go and cut the speed down as low as it will go.  When I tried to cut it this time, it didn't feed through the cutter right and made a big mess.  It did cut the first line of the tile just fine but when it went to cut the holes, it wadded up the vinyl.  Any suggestions??

sorry, I don't know what they are.  do you have to cut all the way thru it?  If so, do you have it on a carrier sheet?

I would try a little more blade and less pressure.

how do I give it more blade?  I am a newbie~

make the blade just a little longer sticking out of the bottom of the  blade holder.

another stupid question,  How do I get the blade carrier out of the head?  I took the big silver screw out and I thought it would swing open but it didn't and I don't want to force it.

I had the same problem when I first got my machine just loosen the screw and VERY gently separate the holder arms just enough to pull out the holder. Please be gentile.
