ea25id 0 Posted September 5, 2010 I have been looking at the keyspans and they seem to have a male connection. So does the CP2500. How do I connect the two? Here is the link to the keyspan I am looking at: http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-Keyspan-High-Speed-USB-Serial-Adapter-USA-19HS-/120420154018?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c0999baa2 Also what do you think is the best software to use? I am thinking either Flexi Starter 8.5 for mac or Sign Cut Pro. I also have Adobe Illustrator.
MZ SKEETER 4,709 Posted September 5, 2010 You plug the keyspan USB to your computer, then connect the end of Keyspan to the serial cable you got with the cutter, then the end of serial cable to your cutter. I have been using Flexistarter for over 4 years. very user friendly., I use with windows though. can I come visit you this winter? LOL I live in Indiana, cold... ea25id 0 Posted September 6, 2010 My CP2500 came with a 25? pin cable and not the 9 pin cable. I assume I can just pick up a 9 pin from Radio Shack or something? Hawaii is great all year round and if you come out here I have a couch you can sleep on. Moving towards the flexistarter.

Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted September 6, 2010 you can also add a card to newer computers if you have trouble with the usb port. The serial is more stable for some reason This one also has a parallel port that new computers don't have http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815166006&cm_re=serial_card-_-15-166-006-_-Product http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815166004&cm_re=serial_card-_-15-166-004-_-Product
