USCutter 14" Vinyl Cutter (MH365) vs USCutter Vinyl Cutter 28"(MH721)

Recommended Posts

They appear to be the same, only one is larger.

Is there any difference in accuracy on fine work?

Is it harder to load small pieces of vinyl into the bigger unit?

The price difference on e-bay is only $30, which really isn't a barrier to me getting the larger unit.

Also space is not a issue for me.

Thanks again,

Bill

the larger unit will load vinyl as small as 2" wide. No difference in cutting ability that I know of. Go the extra $30 you will be happy you did.

I started off with a 15" cutter...went to a larger one within a few months.

+1, this was a concern that i had before i got my mh871, i didnt want to be stuck to 30" rolls.

not the case at all. idk exactly how thin a strip i can cut on mine, but the smallest roll i can find is 12", and theres no problem cutting that on my machine.

If space isn't an issue, the 34" MH871 with stand is only $299 on eBay with free shipping.

definately the best deal.

But how close does it cut to the leading and trailing edge?

left/right is typically .25"

but I also would like to know about how much waste is at the ends.

Thanks

as close as you set it to.

you can cut right to the ends if you set your origin right. the only real "waste" will be at the very end of the roll, and thats only a few inches
