Organizing .eps files without thumbnails...How to?

I have many .eps files and .ai files and would like to categorize them into groups. Here's the question.....Does anyone know of a 'viewer' that will open and show the file without going through AI? There are 1,000's of files that I'd like to categorize. 

Your guidance is appreciated.

irfanview will show thumbnails.  Its a free viewer

Adobe Bridge.....

Irfanview it only shows the EPS ones with tiff inside and it doesn`t show AI files at all.

Mine copy opens most AI files and I haven't seen a EPS that it won't open.

just open Bridge, and go to where ever you have your files documents etc.  shows all files.  I use it
