English to Spanish Translation

Recommended Posts

My customer needs a bi-lingual sign:

English & Spanish

"All Customers report to office to get a number.

No one will be served without a number."

Is there an online source to get the proper

Spanish translation?

Thanks,

Sue

Thanks!  I was hoping someone could recommend a reliable translation

site from experience.  This is what I came up with:

Hi ,

There is always several ways to say things , especially when changing languages where some words do not exist in the other language .

Spanish is my first language so here's my take on this

"All Customers report to office to get a number.

No one will be served without a number."

"Todos los clientes presentarse en la oficina para obtener un numero

Nadie sera atendido sin su n

I agree...if I were having a sign made, I would check with a native-speaker, and then check their spelling online. I would count on the Spanish-speaker for the grammar so you don't end up with something like,

'All pedestrians shall happily tootle their horn to signal politely with donky kong in the throughway'.

Actually, I've heard the game 'Donkey Kong' is derived from a Japanese mis-translation to English. ;) There are whole websites dedicated to these fun mis-translations or just poor grammar, often resulting in messages the user didn't intend. Some of them are screamingly funny.

I did 1 banner in Spanish customer had me get the translation.

Thanks to Joe I got it translated but  I spent more time getting the translation than it took to make the banner.

if I ever get another I will have them email me what its to say and just go with that.

If its right great if its wrong its wrong not my problem
