Problem with Creation Pcut 630 CT not receiving file

Recommended Posts

I have been trying to increase the pressure on my Pcut 630

I found the Pressure control and changed it from 100 to 150

Now my Pcut 630 does not receive the file for cutting.

The file seems to go through but the plotter does not fire up and cut.

Any suggestions.

he past when this has happened I have just turned the plotter off and then back on and it has cleared it but at present it is not fixing it.

I'd appreciate some advice.

Regards

Roy N.

You  might have a point there about the set up

I can't seem to see it anywhere and yet when I disconnect ti and connect it I get the computer tone.

Where should I see the Pcut and how should it appear.

I'm still trying with this one.

When I switch to Off Line... I can access a few things with mode.

When I hit online again the Pcut goes through several lengthy test cuts that last a few minutes.

Is this normal

The plotter is still not receiving the file I am sending and won't cut.

It does cut the test file from mode.

first thing to check would be the baud rate. It has to be the same in your cutter settings and your software settings. I think the creation is 9600.

If that doesn't solve the problem...

In software settings, make sure flow control is set to hardware

Make sure the USB port is correct in your settings. You should be able to tell which port it is on by going to your device manager in Windows. If you can't...once you get the first 2 things right, just keep changing ports in the software til it cuts.

Thanks for that

Something had changed the Baud rate on the PCut

It was set to 19200 or something

That was a very scary weekend...

This was my final trial before I lashed oput and bought a new Pcut tonight.

Thank you you've just saved me money that I can't afford and have made my day.

I'm glad I was able to help you..I suspected the baud rate from the beginning...usually the first thing to check.

i just bought a pcut ct630 off ebay and i am having the same problem as what was happening above. i checked everything you said to check and everything is fine, i also called up us cutter and one of the techs remotely logged into my computer and gave it a try with still no luck. any advice as to what i should do about getting the cutter to actually "cut" something. i am new to this stuff, so i know very little as far as operating a plotter goes.

You might be better off starting a new thread with this question as this is a old one.  Will need a little more info also as to what it is or not doing and has it cut at all and what program are you using and what are you trying to cut?
