wenico 0 Posted June 28, 2010 I have had my Pcut 630 CT for about three years now and it has performed faultlessly. I am trying to cut some sandblast vinyl and can't quite get through it. I have the blade set fairly deep. I am using a 60 degree blade. with my cutter the Mode only offers me speed and X & Y no pressure. Is there any way to upgrade the firmware... I am currently running v 4.23. Is the upgrade downloadable and where can I get it. I'd appreciate any help. Regards Roy N.
Brandon_Davis 1 Posted June 28, 2010 Yes and No... Down here at US Cutter we can provide you with a flashed firmware chip that should work on your board - It might be a better idea to buy a new board entirely to ensure proper function... Let me get back to you later today on this one.

wenico 0 Posted July 1, 2010 I've found the pressure control but when I tried to change the pressure it has developed a problem where the file is not going to the plotter and the plotter now won't cut. I've started a new post on this specific problem. Regards Roy N.

wenico 0 Posted July 5, 2010 Sorry it was on a different post.. Brandon suggested checking the Baud rate... I hadn't changed it I had just changed the Pressure... but somehow the Baud rate got changed on it's own... reset to 9600 and all workign fine... I was about to buy another PCut tonight but thankfully I don't have and I really could not afford to buy it either. Would have had to extend my debt. This is one very contented little bunny... Brandon_Davis 1 Posted July 5, 2010 Checking the comm settings on the laserpoint was key - something really BannerJohn brought up first. For everyone out there the comm setting most often used are here in one of these attached pics. Also you can see the default settings I recommend - no weed line is good for the MH and Creation P-Cut / Laser Point as well. Anyway give these a gander, also the .025 offset can be helpful. Sometimes disabling the cut order in SignBlazer can also help avoid freezing and other hiccups...
