datoshway 0 Posted June 14, 2010 I am looking for a vinyl printer. I have the Creation P cut, love it. Awesome cutter for the price but latley i'v been getting a ton of requests for vinyl printing. I have been looking around and the printer/cutters seem really really expensive but i'm thinking just a vinyl printer would be sufficient. I am looking for a printer that can do both vinyl banners and vinyl sticker stuff. Can you guys recommend a good machine? Is there a decent way to use both the creation and a printer together? Just wondering.
datoshway 0 Posted June 14, 2010 I should add all my jobs seem to be for outdoor. So the ink would need to be moisture proof
Guest manwayvan Posted June 14, 2010 well your limiting your self to the size of your pcut if you get a standard printer but even in doing that I would suggest getting a cutter with ARM's so it can recognize the printed registration mark..Your basically either going to need to get a new cutter and a new printer(some ppl prefer having them seperate) or getting a combo unit either way go for a 54" eco solvent if possible
harmfulgraphics 1 Posted June 14, 2010 Roland Versacamm. I got the SP540V back in January. I've been making things every day and I'm sure I still haven't done all it's able to do. Never had a problem with it. Very happy with it and if I knew then what I know now, I would have gotten it three years ago. Harm
hockeygirl 30 Posted June 14, 2010 If you want a printer only, the Mutoh may be a little more affordable than the Roland... I'm looking at a separate printer/cutter since the cost will be a little less for me than a printer/cutter - demo Mutoh VJ 54" unit priced at just under $10k and a 54" Graphtec.
