Ok, let me start by saying thanks for the help.  I have been trying to figure out all of the different programs, etc. and what exactly vectorizing is and how to do it, and generally i am pretty computer literate, however, all of this seems to be greek to me.

I have looked at several websites and gone to the help feature in corel and some of the other programs and have yet to figure out how to do it.  So I greatly appreciate the efforts in helping me.

With that said, I have opened the work you did in corel and honestly have no idea where to go.  I would love to know how do to it myself, so if you could tell me some steps from her to finish it, or even give me an idea of where to find steps to do it, i would be thankful.

I would also like some info on how you did the work you did.  I have wondered for a long time how to change images from a whole image to separate them.  I have another logo i have been trying to get done, and cant figure it out, but I havent even been able to separate the words from the design.  Sorry for the spill, im just interested in learning and when i cant figure something out, it drives me crazy.

Thanks again

Devin ;D

Devin you need to "ungroup" the image first and then use either the bezier or pen tool.  That's what was used to create what has been created so far.  Remember that vector images are basically just lines.  That's all a cutter can see is lines.

With the shape tool still selected click off of the "c" to unselect all the nodes, then move your cursor over a segment that needs to be curved, you will see a sideways s apear, click and hold then drag the curve to where you want it and release the click.

Anything that I am going to cut, I like to make the curves as smooth as possible, so I select individual nodes and click the make node smooth icon.

You can shift+click on multiple nodes to change more than one at a time.

Ok got the "c" lookin pretty good.

You can shape things by clicking and dragging the curve or by moving the node handles.

Toggle back and forth between wirefame and enhanced veiw, untill you get the desired results.

With objects like "e" and "o" where there are more than one object used to make up the object, they need to be "combined"

Marquee select or shift+click to select both objects, right click, select combine.

Now the "e" can be filled without the center being filled.

To fill an object simply select the object and click on the color you want in the color pallette on the right side of the window.
