Type of vinyl to use on boats?

My brother asked me about making decals for his boat. Can I just use oracle 651 or do I need something better?

Unless it's just the registration numbers i would use cast.

Others here are saying to use Oracal 851/951 or equivalent. I need to order some good marine vinyl tomorrow, but am still undecided on which color to get because of the expense of marine type cast.

we did the back end of a boat with 751 it's about 2 years old and still good as new.
