remus 5 Posted May 7, 2010 I am doing a sign with a arrow & the phone number in the arrow & instead of having to cut the numbers with white vinyl, I just want to punch the numbers into the black arrow & then just weed the numbers leaving exposed the white sign substrate underneath. How do I do this??
Guest kenya Posted May 7, 2010 What software are you using?
prestonservco 26 Posted May 7, 2010 Type the text over the graphic, in a different color, so you can align things. Then select all, and Ctrl + K to Combine.
prestonservco 26 Posted May 7, 2010 oorrrrrr, just leave the text separate, and cut both layers at the same time - just weed out the text.
three47b 0 Posted May 13, 2010 I'm Having the same problem, but because I have outlined my object, when I weed out my letters I get the background color instead of just a clear look thru. SB automatically makes my outline layer a full color without the cut out of the above layer showing all the way thru. HELP! LOL hope I didn't make myself sound to dumb
slacker 0 Posted May 13, 2010 I don't have a cutter but when I design in inkscape to print to my epson I set the fill color to white for text knockout?
tlzimmerman 11 Posted May 13, 2010 Put the text on whatever it is you are punching out of, make sure the text is a path (choose path union to do this). Highlight both, choose path, difference.
