Kelly54487 2 Posted April 22, 2010 Ok say I have a 2-color basketball decal. Orange and Black. When I go to layer it how much of the black outline do you need so once you have it layerered the orange isin't hanging out from the back and vise versa??? Thanks Kelly
prestonservco 26 Posted April 23, 2010 That's an artistic choice Kelly. With experience you can layer with a VERY small outline if you choose - or none at all if that's what you want/need.
MacGrafix 5 Posted April 23, 2010 I start out with a 0.125 and work my way up from there. If I want something thicker, I just Ctrl-Z and re-do it with a larger outline. 0.125 is a 1/8 outline, so work from there. Be careful though, too much outline really take away from the pic. Good Luck!!
RPM Graphics 6 Posted April 26, 2010 Smaller stuff gets smaller outlines and bigger stuff gets bigger ones. I do a lot of name/number combos for motocross shirts. I will do a 12"x12" name and number combo, and I usually go with .20-.25 outline, just depends on the font and the colors I am using. I am heat pressing, so if black is the outline, I go a little bigger. It shrinks a little when pressed.
