Laminating ???

Recommended Posts

Guest kenya

I'm going be printing some small decals using my new epson 1100 (with pigment ink) & I plan on laminating them with Avery Gloss Cast Overlaminate (2 mil), and I want to know- should I laminate first then contour cut or reverse the process? Logically, I'm thinking to laminate it first.

Anyone use the Avery 3015 overlaminate? What is your thoughts on this product?

Thanks.

Laminate first but run a few test pieces through of course to make sure your depth and pressure can get through both layers.

I haven been using frog juice spray so far and it holds up really well. I have a decal that's been sitting outside in direct sunlight for a few months now with no fading

Don't use cast laminate with calendared vinyl.  They don't shrink the same and you'll end up with a wrinkle.  May not on a small decal though, but wanted to throw that out there.

That's great to know five.

I was going to use Jexar 6 mil matte white calendered vinyl from Fellers.

What other vinyl could I use with the cast overlaminate that I already have?
