t.schultz 0 Posted April 20, 2010 OK I am trying to get use to this thing. I am use to Gerber and Graphtec Plotters. I have a 25" MH721 and I am using the Flexi starter also paired up with Corel Draw X4 I am having a problem with cutting some fonts. That logo has straight sides on it correct... Well when I open the ai file in flexi and go to cut... The "c" "a" and other letters have like squiggly line instead of straight. I can try and get a picture of it tonight. It is hardly noticeable, but when the customer receives 200 stickers and pays for them... he wants the right ones. So this in turns makes me lose money in the end and we all hate that. So any help would be nice.
Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted April 20, 2010 sounds like you need to clean up your vector image . . .many unneeded nodes causing the squiggly lines
TSQUIRTZ 0 Posted April 20, 2010 +1 If you autotraced that in corel that almost assuredly the problem.
t.schultz 0 Posted April 20, 2010 well the font is a vector font. and there is no nodes. that was just hit jpeg off his website. I use to have the font. I do not have it now. So if any knows what it is let me know!
t.schultz 0 Posted April 21, 2010 Since I am an idiot, I re-posted the JPEG. The font is clean... But I just have the ai file, and I checked it last night and there are no extra nodes.... Maybe the ai file is messed up?? Does any one know what this font is so I can get it and retry it.
t.schultz 0 Posted April 21, 2010 Also I am having issues with the plotter cutting in a straight line... I have 20 12x1 on one sheet of 24" wide material... and i get the end result like this... 123456789 123456789 123456789 123456789 does any one know what that is about? Guest YHC Posted April 21, 2010 I just posted the font on your other post
Guest YHC Posted April 21, 2010 Sounds like your vinyl isn't tracking right. I always test my tracking before I cut anything that's long. Just place your vinyl in and feed it back and forth a few times to make sure its tracking straight. Also I am having issues with the plotter cutting in a straight line... t.schultz 0 Posted April 21, 2010 ok I tried that too. hopefully it wont happen again . I know this machine is not very expensive. But I would like it to cut. Now its overlapping stuff when I put it in flexi to cut multiples. WTH!!
