Knife continues to pop up and wont cut vinyl

Please help... As soon as i hit CUT, the knife pops up, doesn't touch the vinyl and wont cut. I'm cutting matte vinyl so i changed the pressure to 140, once i changed the pressure, it wont cut anything. Not sure if i hit something accidently. But i've been cutting all night until now..

Please help!

Did you remove the knife holder?  Is it seated correctly?

Hey Molly, thanks so much for responding...

The carriage arm actually cracked, i just received my replacement but i am seriously at a loss on how to remove the face plate without causing more damage. I specifically requested instructions when i ordered it and NOTHING....

So frustrating....

I THINK!!!  I think my pulled off from the bottom and tilted up so I could take it off.
