Yones12 1 Posted February 7, 2010 I have a MH-871. I've had it for about 7 months. Lately i hear the usb sound when you connect or disconnect a device from your computer. And when i try to cut something it will get so far then it will stop and i will hear that usb noise. I ordered a serial to usb cable but for the time being i need to cut some orders. My machine is not grounded yet. Could anyone tell me how to ground it. Thanks
BannerJohn 1,324 Posted February 7, 2010 use some duct tape to make damn sure the usb is tight on the cutter end. It is a sloppy connection and the vibration from the cutter can wiggle it loose.

Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted February 8, 2010 A small wire from the stand to the cutter will help with a build up in the stand that can zap the cutter. I also added another ground from my stand to a ground in my basement to dissipate the static from T-shirt vinyl just to be safe
