USB to serial cable for MH-721 recommendations?

Do you have a picture - the ones shown on USC are standard USB, serial and Parallel ports

speedoggy, that's the exact kind of cable I'm using now.  I am looking for a cable that has that more square usb connector on one end and a serial connector on the other end because I've been told to switch from usb to usb, to usb to serial.

why not use the serial conection on the back of your desktop and the serial connection on your plotter and not use the usp (which is serial to usb conversion anyways);D??

I can sure give it a try!  I think I'm just listening to support and what others are saying rather than thinking for myself and missing the obvious, like you just pointed out.

exactly,  if you have a serial connection on your computer,  I would be using that first anyway.

I tried serial to usb from radio shack uscutter or myself( I have Pcut) could not get it up and running support recommend Key span brand to me and it worked perfect better than regular USB also, it was more than$30 less than$40 they said that was the one that met all criteria jhelms
