Issues with my Cutter

Recommended Posts

Somthing is Jacked up with my Cutter..  everything is tight.. Blade is in good shape, and works good on Squares..

Circles are a no go, Especialy these particular ones..  If you see, this is the exact same circle cut out across a 15" sheet,  by the end it is 1/2"+ off down the length of the vinyl..  Look at how bad the circles are..  Some are fine, some are decent, but many are just simply horrible..  This issue has been developing over the past few months..  What can i do?  is a Stepper motor Bad?  Is something loose inside..  This makes my 2 color decals come out HOrrible because nothing lines up across the decal..

If you use the keypad to move the feed roller forward and back, does it move smoothly and consistantly?

If you put in the pen and print on paper do you have the same problem?

Are the pressure rollers OK?

If you clamp the vinyl and pull at the front does it slip or rotates the feed motor?

It would be nice to have a PDF take apart/ adjustments/ trouble shooting guide,

is that something the manufacturer could do? -- or in the returns dept, where they are being repaired anyway, ?

or maybe someone with an old cutter and a lot of experience.

The carriage is the part that moves with the knife. on the back of it near the top are some rollers that sit in a track and roll back and forth.  From the pic it looks like the carriage could be moving around on it's own like the wheels are not sitting in the track grooves
