Recommended Posts

Does anyone know where you can purchase the silicone matting for your platen?  I can find manufacturers in China but no suppliers.  Thanks,  Shoedept

I may be off but I have a friend who makes heat tranfer shirts but she had me pick her up some stuff at the local menards she uses. it is called( oven mate )heat-resistant up to 500 degrees ferenhiet non stick coating , tearproof easy to clean even dishwasher safe these are 13"x 18" and only cost her $1.50 each and last her a while. I even got a couple for myself , I use it in my craft room under the glue gun and in the ovens so spill over is easy to wipe out even stick apple pie run over, I used it to do a iron-on home printed and it worked great.

not for the platen but to protect the heating unit I purchased an oversize teflon sheet and hold it in place with 4 Neodymium magnets I found on ebay - works great!

You keep this on the heat press top, so you don't forget to put it down before pressing each time?
