While I share your sentiment, and also believe the the MH series has a deeper problem that needs to be addressed, I would refrain from making threats, it isn't going to help your situation.

I just checked it out....O lawd...

I am banning this member.  He has a valid complaint, which we are happy to discuss on the forums, but registering our copyrighted business name (and using copyrighted images from our site) and using it to slander us is against the law.

The lower-end Chinese machines are more problematic than their Japanese counterparts.  We generally do a great job of supporting them.  We don't hide the fact that if there is a warranty issue, we ask you to swap out parts or pay for shipping for us to do service.  If you would prefer to pay $100s more for similar machines from companies that have less capable support, you are free to do so.  Also, if you are doing this as a business and can afford the extra expense, I highly recommend that you buy a Graphtec or Roland machine.  They will offer exceptional performance and reliability.

Our goal is always to offer the very best value at any given price point, and I think that we absolutely succeed at this goal.  Given our value oriented goals, we are simply unable to achieve a level of service that is consistent with businesses that charge full retail prices (though we are often better than these full-price shops).

xstreme, I am sorry for the problems that you have experienced with this machine, but you have now crossed the line and you are no longer welcome in our forums.

Wow is all I can say people. People, i started this thread to get help for my cutter, not start a war with a company. I've stood by USCutter now for 3 months and will continue to do so. Do I feel all their methods are the best? No. Do I feel that I should have to pay shipping for a DOA item or broke item to get fixed? No

But their policy is clearly stated, and people don't realize this or just want to overlook this after the item is bought and say they didn't know. Well it doesn't matter if you didn't know, they supplied the statement on paper and it's their. But however they do fix stuff for free if you do ship it back to them.

I've had my problems with the Refine series. And yes I did buy a new and better cutter. I would have been perfectly happy with the Refine if it performed well but it just didn't.

People give these guys some slack and some credit. They work for USCutter, not build the machines as their own business. When I first called them they were very helpful and today I spoke to Levi, him and I joke around and kid each other in good fun. Why? Because I know he's doin his best and there is nothing else I can do. Why call and scream at him or anyone else? What does this prove? NOTHING. And it def doesn't get you any more help, and people will tend to not want to work with someone who is hostile about the situation. Everyone take a deep breath. And lets continue what we are doing on here and that is Support, Help, Discuss, Show off work and just work together to make this forum better and the people on the forums better.

While I can't speak from the standpoint of someone who ended up with a lemon cutter, I think we should all remember why we bought a USCutter;  it's the cheapest non-hobby cutter on the market, and there are many success stories and good reviews.  A skilled user with a working machine can output the same quality as a Graphtec or Roland (other than contour cutting), and it's been proven.

The number of satisfied customers vastly outnumbers the dissatisfied, and there are hundreds or thousands who have profited enough to either pay off their USCutter immediately, or to make the move to a higher-end machine.

While I don't necessarily agree with USCutters policy of not paying shipping for service under warranty or asking users to saddle the cost of replacement parts upfront, I understand that this is part of why USCutters are so cheap, and that it is in the terms of the sale.

Having said that, it is looking like the MH series has a recent quality issue that needs to be addressed.  Whether it is a bad batch or a coincidence that a few machines failed at the wrong time is yet to be seen.

I'm not sure which is more silly; a pissed off user creating a website to knock the product, or the fact that USCutter didn't register USCutter.net in the first place.  I'm leaning towards the latter.

Is the domain name "uscutter.net" worth $2589, Marcus?

I wondered about that too. When I registered my brother's pub website... I bought every variation of it just to keep someone else from getting it.

It's common sense to buy the others to go a long with it, it's only like an addition $60-$80 a year! And can save you a lot of time and money when something like this happens.

I would like to add that there is one thing that can be a major contributor to this issue.

If you turn on the machine and try to rock the feed roller back and forth it should not move.  If it does it's likely the belt is loose.  Remove the left end cap, check the belt on the feed roller and drive motor.  it should be fairly tight and you shouldn't be able to push the sides together more than about 1/8".  if it is loose you can loosen the 4 screws holding the motor in place, slide the motor away from the feed roller and tighten the screws back down.

Hope this helps anyone with this issue.  Also if you change the tension on the carriage belt be sure NOT to overtighten this belt as this will actually ADD TO the problem.  It should be reasonably tight, not loose or floppy, and not tight like a guitar string.

You ARE being an ass, and I have no doubt they will ban you again, much less give you ANY sort of love as far as resolving your issue after what you have done. Being a forum toughguy is one thing but SLANDERING a company outright will only get you sued brother.

Im a newbie to cutting but im a veteran to forums and business and im telling you straight, that was a chickenshYYt thing to do. You need to take that site down, APOLOGIZE to whoever you were dealing with and be a gentleman about all of this and resolve it the way normal people do. I know its not an IMMEDIATE answer but its the way normal business people conduct business and its even more important when you are trying to sway the common mans opinion in your favor.

Lets put this into perspective, you bought an entry level machine for a stupidly low price. No judge on earth is gonna award you damages based on a web based forum for what you CLAIM to have lost. The machine works for MOST, unfortunately not for others, and USCUTTER is trying their best to help people within the confines of what the machine was priced at.

ME PERSONALLY I would have told you to pound salt along time ago, and thats why im not in the retail business. You are starting a WAR against a small company who is doing its best to work thru your issue and give you technical support. Are you THIS beligerent to Microsoft and all they have done to us with Windows 98, XP, FREAKIN VISTA, and God help us all on Windows 7? LOL!

Slow down brother, have a few beers and MAYBE you might come to a resolution. I can only say that the way you are CURRENTLY going about it in my personal opinion is NOT the way to do it.

man grow up and  get over it already

I have been nice for almost four months now. I think that surpasses the limit of not being an ass. Honestly, reguardless of buying an entry level machine. It should at least work a year. If you lost customers, money, and had vinyl that you can not use or it would be wasted you would be pissed too.

But, everyone is entitled to their opinion.

xtreme, xtreme1, xtreme2, xtreme3, xtreme4, try doing what I do.  When I just get totally pissed at my cutter, I'll pack a big fat bowl, turn on some Pink Floyd, sit back and smoke it.  Try it.  It really works.  Dammmmn I fill good right about now!

Sorry, didn't mean to misspell your name.  But the Floyd is really sounding good.

I didn't ban you the first time, the owner of the forums did. He also said you are not welcome here. Most people would take the hint. Of course most people don't call tech support, yell and scream at the employees, and then expect to be treated well. Most people read the terms and conditions before they shell out their money for an item. And most people, even our members who are not adults, act like adults.

I am not a 'master programer' so I can't get around whatever you are using to beat the ban...so if you want to keep showing your ass, I guess you will just keep doing it.

Signs and Designs 1:

It could be that your belt might be "slightly loose" and not enough to make a difference.  They don't have to be steadfast as a rock but if they move too much it can add to this issue.  It takes a little practice to be able to know how much is too tight, too lose, etc.

After working on a few machines and tuning them you develop a feel for what's right and what's not.

It's the same as applying vinyl, you develop a sense of how to and how not to apply materials in various situations.

but if it ain't broken, don't fix it!   ;D
