edge 67 Posted October 17, 2009 Our offspring brought one of these home from a school fundraiser last week to the tune of $15. The label claims 69% recycled cotton fiber and 31% combined recycled synthetic content. I'm having a difficult time grasping how cotton carded, spun into thread, then woven could be recycled into a fine T shirt fabric again. Which led me to state the cotton is not truely recycled beyond perhaps retrieving it from the Honduran sweatshop floor in it's natural state. Insight beyond speculation appreciated.
