haumana 1,220 Posted September 29, 2009 For those of you in the industry, could you tell me if this stuff will help to prevent the yellowing/fading/etc. of the new generation plastic headlight lenses on my vehicles? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Clear-Headlight-Protection-Kit-Toyota-4Runner-03-05_W0QQitemZ330291672733QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item4ce6eaf69d&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14 I've had several people ask me about it, but I have no idea how to answer them beyond, "I have no idea, I suggest you call a tint shop." midwaste 4 Posted October 5, 2009 Probably somewhat, as it is a UV resistant layer. In all reality, it's more than likely just a piece of clear UV vinyl laminate cut to a template.
dugzphoto 0 Posted September 19, 2010 The thing you need to be careful of, when tinting headlights and such. The headlight is plastic and it does expand and contract under heat and cold. Some of the headlight films are 30mil thick, and this will prevent the contraction and expansion; in-which will eventually spiderweb crack the lens
