99v8miata 3 Posted September 23, 2009 I am looking to buy a printer. I was thinking of buying the Epson 1400 to start with. My question is sublimation ink or pigment ink. I know that with the pigment ink I will not be able to do mugs and plates. But if I buy a Epson 1400 for sublimation ink will I be able to use it for t-shirt transfers on cotton as well as 50/50 blend shirts? Any help would be great. Renegade 2 Posted September 24, 2009 Sublimation is for polyester only. It actually works even better on hard items like mugs and such.
FutureSgtsWife 0 Posted September 25, 2009 I have a sublimation system... but I use the gel-based inks. I like being able to press onto ceramic tile, neoprene, metal, etc... but sometimes the substrates are hard to find.
