Please Help! Cutter and computer are not talking.

Recommended Posts

My husband and I were adjusting the press this evening and all of a sudden the press zeroed out. After he readjusted it, the cutter would no longer work. When I press "cut" on sign blazer it just says it's sending the data to the cutter and nothing is happening. Please could someone help me right away, I have a boutique scheduled for 10/24 to showcase my work so I have to have the cutter back in running order right away.

Thank you so much. I plan on calling Ken first thing in the morning also.

Sincerely,

Wendy

it could be that the settings went back to default. Make sure  that the baud rate in Signblazer matches the baud rate in the cutter settings (default is 9600).Also,check to make sure the com port hasn't changed in Signblazer. I've seen it happen.

Wendy,

Your posting doesn't say what kind of cutter your have. If it's a PCut the symptoms you describe are those that occur when the cutting head depresses one of the red buttons on either side of the carriage. When the button is depressed you can wait all night for the cutter to respond and nothing will happen.
