BigDaddyChris 2 Posted August 23, 2009 A lady came in and asked if I could print on chairs. SURE! (I'm game to make money on anything) So she hauled in a load of these folding camp chairs. I thought she meant the kind of folding chair with the removable back panel. No problem, I taped the econoprint transfer to the chair backs and pressed the chair without taking the fabric off the frame. kinda weird seeing all these chairs crowding up the back of the shop! charge? $7.50 each (14 items)
#D-zine# 2 Posted August 23, 2009 wow, those look great. Worked good on the fabric then I take it? Looks like yet another new avenue for pressing. I need a heat press!
john! 1 Posted August 23, 2009 How did you come up with $7.50 each for this odd job?
BannerJohn 1,324 Posted August 23, 2009 weird sitting in the shop? Be happy it wasn't for a funeral home.
BigDaddyChris 2 Posted August 23, 2009 I charge $15 to imprint someones t-shirt if they bring it in, but if theres a quantity, then I give a break. they had 14 chairs, so I cut them a deal. the material costs about $6 a yard (with postage to be fair) each tranfer took about 4" so I got 12 transfers yer yard materials cost $8 total. charged $105 took an hour to do
bamafan2277 50 Posted August 23, 2009 Very nice chairs!! My next venture will probably be a heat press. That sounds like a very fair price on the chairs!

midwaste 4 Posted August 25, 2009 Nice! $7.50 each is fair enough, too Pretty much the same as pressing on the ex-up tents, almost identical material. That's about what I charge a sq/ft..
BigDaddyChris 2 Posted August 25, 2009 do the EZ up type tents have a rubbery liner on the backside? is there any risk of melting the liner? I have a "first up" from wally-world, been wondering if I dare try to personalize it.
BigDaddyChris 2 Posted August 25, 2009 I did all the graphics on a Bicycle Hearse for a local Cemetery here in town., also all their vehicles, and their website. The website was in trade though, for my mothers services. Kind of interesting though, the stories the owner of a funeral home can tell about his experiences. lol WAY better stories than I have about doing graphics. His stories are, um, more graphic. lol
