Daddy-o 0 Posted August 30, 2009 Damit that's not very promising :'( I could probably come up with a few other choice words myself! Speedoggy, what model Graphtec may I ask? Based on the use of servos vs. stepper motors, I would assume greater accuracy. In your experience is Graptec's claim of 5mm letter's accurate? Thanks. Still smarting and just a little gun shy from all of this. Daddy-o

Daddy-o 0 Posted September 3, 2009 The next installment in the continuing story... Received a phone call Monday from USCutter concerned about negative feedback left on ebay. Came across as very committed to making things right and a new, tested unit was to go out that day (still waiting on a shipping notification and credit for the returned blade holder though :-). Told pressure was to blame for cuts not closing. Don't quite understand. That was one of the variables changed in increments both up and down, but Creakhead you may want to try reducing the pressure and see if that resolves your problem. Hope it helps and let us know if it works. Daddy-o
bigf00t 0 Posted January 10, 2010 So did anybody get a definitive solution to this problem?
Daddy-o 0 Posted January 10, 2010 So did anybody get a definitive solution to this problem? Yes. Replace the unit with a Graphtec or Roland. USCutter worked out a reasonable deal on a Roland GX-24. Couldn't be happier with the Roland. Cut like butter right out of the box and with Cutstudio, I'm sending work straight out of AI - streamlining workflow and saving gobs of time to boot. I'm sure its not the answer you were looking for, but sometimes money does equal higher quality. Daddy-o

Unfortunately paying 5 times more for a cutter isn't an option for me at the moment. No doubt it would be worth it though. Seems strange the boys at USCutter haven't worked out the problem yet. Do you know whether they actually investigated the faulty machine you sent back?
Daddy-o 0 Posted January 12, 2010 Actually, it was two... the original and a replacement. Unfortunately, no I do not know if they investigated or not.

PLEXI 0 Posted February 1, 2010 Hello. Did anyone find any solution to this problem? I have the same problem on my Pcut CTN1200. I have tried a lot of different things to try eliminate the problem: Different speed, pressure, offset, new blade, different angel on the blade, new bladeholder, tighten the driver belt. Nothing seems to help. Any ideas?
