Well I spent the 4th working in the shop. I think I will like the new setup but I still have more to finish.

I like the light table. That's a great idea.

That was the main project yesterday and put the lights in today and wired to a RF light switch mounted on the bench  :)

Hey, is that an SCCA logo on your workbench?

I just cut one for the back of my truck. Was a bitch weeding the wire wheel.

Very neat  :)

Couple of things :

1 - I love the "straight" cuts on the table for the glass, MDF is a pain to cut if not using a table saw. I did a portable one the other day and looks like the cut was done using my teeth

2 - you have 2 pieces of glass, try to put something in between where they touch each other, since the edge of glass is the mos vulnerable part and they might break easily. Couple of pieces of paper will do it, r even tape.

Now .... keep it clean  :)

Great looking work space...I am envious too.  Love the light table and the PVC pipe idea for vinyl storage.  Heading to the hardware store to get some PVC pipe.

I spotted your black and decker electric scissors. I love mime and they work great for cutting vinyl straight off the roll.

It worked out very well, I used 3 sizes and it gives me lots of storage for very little $$$ just wish I would have made it bigger  :police:

Well done........I got a dumb question.......What is the light table used for?

It's a huge help when weeding very detailed jobs or small pieces. The light will hi-light all the cuts in the vinyl  :police:

Can you post another pic of the pvc that holds the vinyl? I'm trying to do something like that also. So far I've just bought  4 rollers to attach to a piece of plywood. Not sure how to attach the pvc to the plywood...Sandy
