xturdfergusonx 1 Posted May 28, 2009 I do have one question regarding vectoring. I am using sign blazer to vectoring amd I have noticed that it distorts the images a little. This image started out way more as a line drawing. Is there a step I am missing or is there a trick to keeping it more detailed?? I am guessing its probably the program..... thanks for the comment too!! I having so much fun doing this stuff.....
acehole 1 Posted May 28, 2009 I like your turbo design (they are turbochargers arent they) you might try using a program called inkscape its free and it works great
xturdfergusonx 1 Posted May 28, 2009 they are definitely turbochargers. I will check out inkscape!! thanks again!! If I download and design on inkscape do I still import and cut with signblazer??
CRD 9 Posted May 28, 2009 Yes. Inkspace saves as .sgv and can be imported as such extension in SBE. Inkscape is only for design. SBE is both. Paco
Guest kenya Posted May 28, 2009 +1.............. BTW, Great decal !!
99v8miata 3 Posted May 28, 2009 You will always lose some of the quality doing an auto trace. If you want to get all of the detail in it you will need to learn to manually trace. Dave
midwaste 4 Posted May 28, 2009 Mind sharing that file? I have seen it before, and it was already vector. If not, maybe we can help you get a little more detail.

firemalt 10 Posted May 28, 2009 Yes. Inkspace saves as .sgv and can be imported as such extension in SBE. Inkscape is only for design. SBE is both. Paco You can save inkscape files as eps files using the "save as" option under the file menu.

It is someone elses image, but I am doing what I can to practice. Aw, the turbo-creature looks sad. Nice execution, just that logo struck me as a sad creature made of engine-parts. CyberChuck 4 Posted August 12, 2009 On a side note, Inkscape will also save as eps files and will export to gif files. Charlie
