Alien 11 Posted May 27, 2009 Knife setting for Copam 2500. I was told when i bought mine to set the blade at 1/2 credit card thickness. This worked on larger cuts. When i went to cut small tribal flames and tribal dragons it was pulling up the small strips all over the place. I put in a new 60 degree blade. This helped some but still tore up cuts. After some experimenting and torn up vinyl, I tried putting the blade all the way up and slowly lowering the blade one quarter turn of the adjusting ring at a time until it would just cut cleanly through a sheet of 20# printer paper laying on my cutter pad. I have cut a tribal dragon 3" tall so far without pulling the stripes. I will post more when I get time to cut smaller stuff and try other settings. This takes a lot of the guessing out of it for me. Just my $.02.
