Little Red Buttons ???????????

Recommended Posts

Please please please help! After 3 weeks of having this i have finially cut something.

However i cant figure out why the knife part keeps going to the very end of the cutter and hitting the red button. then everything STOPS and i cant finish.  Where does this knife part have to be set up before each cut??

it all depends from the homeposition the head starts from.

If you locate it in the middle and then cut 24 inch wide it will hit a button!!!!

Move the head with the arrow keys to the right hand side of the cutter 10 cm from the right hands side end and press home position.

Remove the knife and just make a small decal of 10 cm and give the print jobs.

Then enlarge the printjob by 10 cm to see what happens.

This saves vinyl and your are dry training to see what goes wrong.

You have always been such a great help.

But... i guess i never know where to put the head. Does it need to be changed everytime i cut something depending on the size?;)  I will set it in the middle for just a 3 inch by 12 inch cut and it moves it to one side and then bam...hits the red button. I really just dont understand this thing.  what should the XY be set at on the plotter?

Set your work space to be 24" in the program. I use SBE but I assume you can do this with all sign software. Don't use the silver discs on the material rollers. This will let you start closer to the right button as you look at the front of the machine.

If you are using 15" vinyl pay attention to the rulers in the program or set  the workspace to 15".

The cutter always cut from right to left.

Not from left to right!!!!!!!!!!!

At every new design you have to move the head to right hand side position and reset the home position.

Make it a fist wide size from the right side.

The program will use the home pistion as a new starting point with every new cut/design you make.

If you used the new bie manual I wrote you have SBE installed.

Make a small square and cut it.

Enlarge the square in either directions and see what happens.

Every time do the thing mentioned above for home position reset.

No knife or foil in the machine.

Just to see the behaviour of the machine.

let us know if you understand.
