How to merge so a monogram is not cut as 3 letters but one

I am making an entiwined monogram that has letters overlapping. When I go to cut, the letters are all cutting out instead of being one design that is continous. Does that make sense? Thanks

Select them all and do an Arrange + Weld + Total Weld.
