any techniques for doing sleeves/legs of shorts?

Recommended Posts

I had a guy ask me the other day about doing designs on shorts.  He had on a pair that had a tribal sort of design around one of the legs.  I had an idea previously about doing a design around the cuff of a jacket sleeve.

Are there any methods to do this?  Everything I come up with, I seem to shoot down before trying, thinking it won't work.  Does it require a hat/mug type press?

All the way around the leg? I would assume that the fabric is screenprinted before being sewn up. Just a guess. Hmmm now you have my mind going. ............

You can use eco film vinyl as it doesn't hurt to press it over. It can even be ironed over after. (not that I do on a regular basis but it does just fine.) I have a small teflon coated pad, insert in the leg. Press down the part that is upright. Rotate the shorts and press the next part. It can be pressed over the seam and everything. I have done around the sides of t's also. Going right over the seam. Just make sure you have good pressure.
