NatDragon 0 Posted May 10, 2009 I am attempting to cut a shiny heat vinyl and it seems to test feed fine but when I do a test cut the vinyl wants to pull or buckle, hence distortion. I have a new 60' blade and have adjusted it to where it makes a mark through to the mylar backing. I have slowed the cutter down to 100mm/s and 100 g. I'm not sure what adjustment I should be making to get the vinyl to lay flat while cutting. Help please? :'(
Renegade 2 Posted May 12, 2009 If its feeding/tracking ok when you just advance and reverse it, then it maybe too much down force pressure. Have you also tried another blade? Even though its a new blade, it could just have a defect or bur on it.
kenimes 42 Posted May 14, 2009 Which model cutter? Maybe more pressure and less blade sticking out. Too much blade exposed may cause unwanted blade drag. Make sure the cutter is not pulling from a tight roll of material as well.
