DEVICE MANAGER - no Ports????? DESPERATE! HELP NEEDED...

can  anyone help me....i'm trying to get my cutter to work and keep getting a notification stating that my cutter isn't communicating with my computer.  I went to check all my settings in device manager to see if the com ports matched up and there was nothing for ports. How the heck do i get that back???  is it a download ??  Please please help..

Which operating system and which cutting program you use.

Unplug the plotter, reboot and reinstall the appropriate USB drivers, then plug the plotter back in and windows should recognize your plotter. If not please try using a different usb port.
