mobby 1 Posted May 7, 2009 Very common for the screws holding the solenoid and magnet concentric move slightly and cause coil, and hence head to rub and jam down. Cheers mobby
Mr Stork 0 Posted May 19, 2009 When posting regarding problems with cutting, please note that it is easier for us to diagnose any issues if you include details about your machine. Please include at least the following details at the top of your message: Vinyl cutter model Date purchased (Date is best, otherwise month and year) Connection method (USB, serial, Parallel) Software (Signcut, Artcut, Flexi, etc) Operating system Material
Victir02 0 Posted May 19, 2009 Hello i am a newbie, I just purchased my MH721 cutter last week and I have a HP laptop with windows XP and am using the usb cord do to I dont have many options. Well my laptop doesnt even acknowledge the cutters existance. I went and tried to install new hardware and nothing. Thinking its my laptop I plugged in my printer, scanner, and every flashdrive you could think of and it all works. I put the little drive CD in but that didn't help as well. I purchased this one a week ago serial # 02232873. The cutter does turn on. If someone could help I would really appreciate you. Also I sent the us cutters support center a urgent email but got no response.

Also I sent the us cutters support center a urgent email but got no response. Emails are not the best way to contact USCutter. They mainly use a support ticket system now: www.support.uscutter.com When you plug the USB cable in to your laptop- what does it show up as in your Device Manager? Yes, they certainly should be with all the new non-smoking employees. I think the member meant ticket system anyhow...

Its like nothing is being plugged in at all So, with your Device Manager opened up, you plug the USB, and the Device Manager does not refresh and show anything new? Have you tried another USB cable? Another USB port on the computer?
Victir02 0 Posted May 20, 2009 The only thing that pops up in the device manager is under USB Controllers. I have tried 3 different USB cords in all 4 of my USB slots. Anyways when I plug it in under the USB controllers iit says USB serial converter. Nothing about new hardware found

Nothing about new hardware found OK, that sounds right, so when that pops up, also look in the Ports category- do you have something in there that says USB Serial Port (COM#)?? Victir02 0 Posted May 20, 2009 Ok under ports its says usb serial port (com4)
kenimes 42 Posted May 20, 2009 Ok under ports its says usb serial port (com4) Perfect, the USB driver is installed correctly, so you no longer need the USB driver disk, just make sure you select COM4 as the communication port in the cutting software.
