very easy in inkscape.

1. Create your text

2.copy & paste so you have 2 copies

3.select ONE of the text,go to PATH,the OutSET..once or twice depending on how thick you want the outline

4.select all

5.go to OBJECT,select align and distribute

6.align horizontally & vertically

7.save as an .eps

And there you have it.

If you want to cut each seperately, make one of the other a different color before you outset.

the flexi starter edition doesn't do outlines. the next version of Flexi that does outlines is,I think, about $700. NIce if you can afford it but I can do the outlines in Inkscapei in about 2 minutes. For the occasional use I have for outlines,it's a no-brainer.

Thanks for the speedy reply. I do have a question on #4 though. Once I cut and past the second piece of text is in a different position than the first. How do I "select all"?

Thanks again.

Now I'll have something to work on tonight. I feel like I've been taking baby steps but I learn more with each step.
