Guest sciondrgn Posted March 12, 2009 Printer - Epson Rx600 (6 Color Dye Ink) VS. Printer - Epson C120 (4 Color Pigment Ink) Transfer Paper - Jet Pro Soft Stretch for lights Initial Results.... Color Wise the Rx600 whooped on the C120 as far as quality of print. http://clawgfx.com/tshirt/color/DSCF0244.JPG More Shots of the Rx600 Shirt Full Shirt View http://clawgfx.com/tshirt/color/DSCF0223.JPG Close up if transfer http://clawgfx.com/tshirt/color/DSCF0227.JPG Super Macro of the shirt fibers and print http://clawgfx.com/tshirt/color/DSCF0228.JPG Even for dye ink I was really impressed compared to the first couple transfers ive tried.. acehole 1 Posted March 13, 2009 Is the difference in quality because of the lack of the other two ink colors 4 color vs 6 ?
Guest sciondrgn Posted March 13, 2009 Is the difference in quality because of the lack of the other two ink colors 4 color vs 6 ? Thats the only thing I can guess. I printed using the same program/computer and settings but my dye ink printer has a better print quality.. Im going to wash them a couple times this weekend to see if the dye ink versus the pigment ink makes a difference

Guest sciondrgn Posted March 15, 2009 Washed the shirts today. The one from my Dye printer which intitially the colors looked better smudged and blurred after washing.. The shirt is essentially bad now. The Pigment ink printer held up to the washing although it does look a little faded..

sublimation 0 Posted March 22, 2009 umm, now that wouldn't happen with laser. OK, now I'm thinking of getting a laser printer for my transfers. Right now I use Paropy light and Dark transfer paper and an epson 1280 with CIS dye ink. I don't like the quality to much but it works. What laser printer do you have Nonabelle and which one do you recommend? My wife has been wanting one for years to do altered book transfers ? But up until recently they were to expensive. (we also use a 1400 for our dye sub IQ ink but thats a different story)
