DUTCH 1 Posted March 12, 2009 Hi, I am thinking about buying a cutter to make lettering and designs for my hobby - restoring old antique farm implements. Typical panel areas are 8 x 20" or so. What I will need to do would be a combination of lettering and some simple graphics. The lettering typically involves modifications to standard fonts [using Font Creator]. There are very few if any overlapping colors or objects. I would need to use these modified TRUETYPE fonts as well as these simple graphics. Actually, I can create much of the artwork in the font creator software. There may be an occasion where I may need to scan a tracing in [vectorizing needed?] I would probably use this once every couple of weeks [if that often] as the bulk of the work will be in the preapration. Any thoughts on which cutter I should be looking at?
