45 degree and 60 degree blades

Recommended Posts

Ok, is there a rule of thumb on when I should use each one? And more importantly, is there a way I can tell which one is which? I ordered 12 of each from uscutter on ebay but I can't tell which one is which.

The 60 degree blade will have a more elongated point than the 45 degree blade. use a magnifying glass to get a better look.

i use the 60 degree blade for cutting small or intricate  cuts and at a slower speed. otherwise a 45 degree is good for most of the other work.

like everything else in life this is subject to  personal preferences and i am sure that others may have an entirely different thought on this subject.  take care,  daniel t
