When in need of graphics..READ FIRST!

Recommended Posts

With so many graphics requests being asked and pages and pages of graphic requests being met...please use the 'Search' window (found at the top of this category) to search for your needed graphic before requesting.

This way you may be able to get your graphic needs found much quicker!!

Thanks.

we need a place to put all vectored graphics that are requested on a server so they can look there first!

The main intent of this forum is tech support.Marcus has been kind enough to allow a separate category for graphic posting and requests. Even with things as they are, occasionally the server gets full and nobody can post anything. Marcus has a lot on his hands and right now, another server would be nice, but the reality of it is, US Cutter is a dealer who sells graphic CDs as well as cutters. From a business standpoint, it would be in his best interest to not allow posting of graphics at all. Be thankful for what we have and learn to use the search feature.

Considering everything in your post is true, i hate people that dont use the search function on the forum.  I know on my message board that i had, we had lots of double posts, and it really got annoying!  My argument is USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION! Its there for a reason!

What I would suggest is a brief tutorial for newbies on this forum. For instance, it took me a good while to realize that when you use the search box, it only searches the directory you are currently in and those under it. If I search from the box above, I would not find any posts made in the Business directory. I wonder if the search tool could be configured to automatically begin the search from the root directory.

This is very true, I have used it numerous times to only realize it searches the current directory you are in!

With so many graphics requests being asked and pages and pages of graphic requests being met...please use the 'Search' window

Or learn how to draw.  Some of the requests I see would take less time to draw than it took to type the request.  This profession does take a little artistic ability.  A sign maker can't rely only on what they can download and expect to stay on top of the competition.

my 2 cents if it matters....i would just like to say some of the comments are kind of rude i mean really i understand the search button and can use it and i do agree that it should be used  rather than over posting the same questions over and over..BUT... to say you have to have a artistic ability to do this kind of work is a bit far thats pretty much telling someone that they cant do the job because they cant draw or so on! im pretty sure when u opened your first cutter you felt like a fish out of water now im a I.T specialist at my full time job and i know my computers but when it comes to stuff out of the norm its nice to ask a question to a pro " you guys " for some help. now this is not the first time ive seen rude comments from people on here and if you get tired of answering  the same question over and over well its a simple fix to the problem....dont comment.. i cant wait till i get good enough on this thing to help a new guy/gal out ok that was more like a dollar than just my 2 cents...keep the change

I've got to agree with the last two, we all have to start somewhere & while UScutters will sell to the pro's I would hazzard a guess that they sell as many If not more to us 'hobbyists' Most of my cutting I do for free or break even costs for friends, small car clubs & charities around my local area, when the pro guys don't want to bother with a one off or a small run. So, come on guys, lighten up & lets enjoy what we do
