  1. So when I go to cut anything using either CM 4 or 5 out of Illustrator the knife will land in the vinyl proper just before the path start. This knife drop is destructive, leaves a mark and happens every time I go to cut a job. We have taken to making a small circle at the top of the page so the error happens outside of the vinyl job proper. Please feel free to chime in if you have any suggestions about this issue, TY
  2. Hi, I tried to install Adobe plugin for Cutting Master 5. I use it with Ethernet connection. I can't see my Cutter ID ou my cutter name into plug-in. I use MAC OS with Illustrator 2023. I can detect paper width but cutting is not accurated. I can't activated remote too. Anyway, the plug-ins don't work now. Bad detection and maybe plug-ins can't know what cutter i use. thank for help.
  3. Recently got a Graphtec FC8600, Been awhile since i have had to setup a new plotter and im having a little trouble getting it dialed in when cutting. Got it pretty close but its still off, see the images attached. Do i need to keep adjusting the blade holder (more or less blade showing? Or is it going to be a setting on the machine (like offset)? Thanks in advanced!
  4. I have a graphtec fc8600-160 plotter and i recently got it so i know only the basics and it say awaiting ENTER key. im not sure what that means or what it wants. If any one has had this issue before and knows how to fix it that would be helpful.
  5. I'm very new to this process so perhaps this is a common issue, but Google wasn't my friend on this topic so I'm turning to you fine folks. I have a few thousand small "L"-shaped labels to cut. The top of the shape is rounded with a half-circle, and has a radius of about .25". I created the art in Illustrator using just three anchors for the start, middle and end of the curve. The entire shape is one continuous vector path. The plotter file was set up in Graphtec Studio from an imported .eps. It is cutting accurately and cleanly, but the curved segments are very herky-jerky and cut at about 1/10th speed of the straight segments. Is this expected behavior? If not, what other information could I provide to help figure it out? Thanks so much in advance! We use a Graphtec model FC8600
