  5. I hope this finds any helpful member as I am stuck with a brick of a plotter. So, I went to update the firmware for Graphtec FC7000-130 (USB) to v2.10 (from Graphtec website) to get the perf option. Downloaded all the updates on that page (Windows 7, 64 bit) and thought I followed the instructions well, it started loading, but now it gives me 3 different errors: 1. Straight power up - [bOOT START ERROR] or 2. Power Up, holding Left & Right, goes to Update / Yes then shows [CHECK SUM ERROR] or 3. Power Up, holding Left & Right, goes to Update / Yes then shows [PLEASE SEND PRGM] - I hit PRINT from the Data File Output Utility and [Cannot Access Output Destination] Pops up. What Gives? What should I do next? I attached a screen shot of all the relevant info I could fit. Please feel free to contact me by whatever means are most convenient to you. My contact info is below. 6. Hey guys! My names Axyl and I run a small vinyl sticker business in Western Australia. Refine Pro-24 & Signcut Pro Last weekend my cutter started malfunctioning mid-cut. The screen is stuck on "Thank you for cutting!" And the actual cutting module keeps repeatedly bashing up against the side of the machine as soon as I flick the power on. I'm stressing out like crazy because I have a lot of people relying on me for business stickers and car vinyls etc. If anyone has any idea on how to fix this error, or perhaps anyone in WA, or even Australia can fix it. Even Refines contact details would be greatly appreciated. Thanks heaps guys! Axyl
  7. Today I am cutting Vinyl lettering for a trailer. I am using Adobe illustrator to create my layout and then sending it to Sure Cuts Alot 3 Pro to cut on my Titan 2. The first file cut some of the text higher than the rest of the word. I decided to start all over with a fresh file and even arranged things a bit different. The same text is cutting out offset each time and then some are and some aren't. I created outlines in illustrator before sending to SCAL. Any idea why this might be happening? I have a customers vehicle here for install and need to figure out ASAP!
  8. Out of no where SB freeze on me when I try to send it to the cutter screen and I get this at the bottom. Has anyone ran into this problem and have a fix for it?

  10. So I've owned this cutter for over a year and a half now.. Have had a few issues but nothing I couldn't fix.. Recently the cutter hasn't been able to cut straight lines very crisp as it was a few days ago. Tried switching to 60 degree blade a few days ago and that may have been the issue, just switched back to the 45 degree and still having the issue. One source I found about these symptoms says to adjust the blade offset but I don't see that setting on the SC's control panel. Here are a few sample shots of what's going on.. Here's a shot from the beginning of the cut then towards the end of the roll it gets even sloppier: It really shows in the Es and the Hs.. Settings shown are 400mm/s speed and 200g pressure. Just oiled the blade holder as another tutorial said may fix the issue.. Thoughts? Thank you for your time!

  12. Hi guys I've been using my PCut CTN1200 for quite many years now and every now and then, with no obvious reason, I do get more write port errors. Today, however, while moving the vinyl (3M 50-120) back and forth, I noticed that my Windows Laptop randomly drops the connection to the cutter. After testing this phenomena some hundreds of times I removed the vinyl from the cutter and moved some nothingness back and forth. No more dropping of the connection. Has anyone else noticed this? How have you fixed it?
  13. I have been using Flexi 7.5 for years and have never had this problem. I will begin a cut that is six lines of text. When the cut get's sent, the production manager shows the percentage of completion. It stops processing at 83%. I get 5 complete lines of text properly cut and one line that does not cut completely. As well, if I must restart my computer if I want to send another cut. The production manager will say 'write port error'. I have ensured that my baud rates all match (on the plotter, the driver (device manager), and the production manager. (as stated in http://forum.uscutte...ite-port-error/ pinned post). It was set properly, and has always been set this way. I also lowered my buffer settings to assist in alleviating communication errors. 1 out of 10 cuts with aforementioned 6 lines of text will be erradic. The plotter seems to just go haywire and will cut a straight line until I tell it to stop (reset manually - or - exit production manager). Sometimes the line is vertical sometimes it is horizontal (and the plotter reaches the edge of the plot surface and attempts to continue heading in that direction). Does anyone else have any experience with this issue? Please respond with any information you believe may be relevant to my current issue. I still need to cut those 6 lines of text about 200 more times. *sigh* /dyndes
  14. I need help, and I have tried everything. I have a US Cutter MH 721 and have no problems until last week. I have owned the cutter for almost 2 years, and my mother-n-law own it before me (with no problems). Well last week I was sent a file from SignBlazer to the cutter, and the cutter stopped cutting. I was connected to the USB port on the cutter to the USB port on my laptop. The program still works, and I can hit the test button on the cutter and it works. I tried another USB cord except this time in the program it was no longer finding the cutter in "setup". My husband and I tried uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling, nothing! We tried uninstalling and reinstalling the SignBlazer software, nothing! We opened up the case, and my husband noticed the USB port was loose (he works in the IT field). So he secured it down, and still nothing the program no longer found the cutter. After being frustrated, we ordered a DB9-USB adapter cord. Last night the cord showed up!! We plugged in the cord, installed the drivers for it, and uninstalled/reinstalled signblazer. Nothing!! The program still was not finding the cutter. Well after being frustrated once again, and my husband working on it for about 2 hours last night - we called it a night. This morning while waiting on US Cutter Support to open, I thought I would give it one last shot. I uninstalled/reinstalled the drivers and the software. Followed on the directions on the setup (start.uscutter.com) for the drivers. This time to my surprise the program now finds the cutter. However, now I am getting the following error message, "Can not open the output device. Error initializing cutter." So since support was now open, I called!! The man on the phone was not helpful at all. I explained everything that we have tried, and how this all began. His response was get new software, and then call us back. Yet, I know it is not the software because I can now find the cutter in it. My problem is that the cutter will not cut still. This is why, I am here! What else can I do or try to get this to work??? Thanks in advance!
