    Time to think about upgrades

OK so this has taken off a little faster than I thought it would. I am getting orders coming in normally 1-3 shirts a day but have a few that want 10 shirts at a time, all are the same design but there are a few that want multiple colors that would require a lot of carful layering. So i am wondering what would be some equipment to maximize my time? I have been looking as screen printing, DTG(a little too rich for blood right now), and laser/inkjet printing. I want it to last at least 20 washes as these are being worn a lot more than I thought(some every other day) so with them being seen a lot I need it to look good. I see a lot of pros and cons but with the printers I see that I can get one and get dye sub inks for less than $500, a screen printer and ink to do screen prints and plastisols for about the same maybe cheaper if I only want the 4 color option. Space is at a premium for at least another 9 months so that is a big factor right now. Maybe soon I will move to other offerings other than shirts and that is another factor. What do some of you Vets in the biz go with starting out and have been happy with until you upgraded from that? I have been reading and researching but can't make up my mind plus i have a lot on going with work, vacation, and other life stuff so I can't focus on nailing something down yet. TIA for all the tips!
  2. So, I currently have an SC series cutter and it's done great for about three years That being said, since day one, the thing likes to randomly freeze in the middle of cutting, which is a real pain in the A because you end up losing whatever cut you were working on (cut could freeze within the first few cuts or could freeze on the last few cuts...never know) Sadly enough, I've gotten in the habit of cutting about 20" worth of vinyl at a time, then cycling the power for a few minutes...cut again...cycle power, etc. and it seems to work better With that in mind, USCutter was not really able to help be besides suggesting changing the port, re-installing the driver, getting an anti-static mat, attaching a second ground wire, etc. Mid last week, I went ahead and ordered the Titan 2 (been eyeballing it for some time as I think it'll be a better fit for the volume of work I'm pushing through the SC) The one thing I am halfway disappointed with on the Titan is the amount of RAM / memory that's built in Is there a way to upgrade the RAM / memory of the cutter itself? Thanks!

    Needing to upgrade...Suggestions

So I bought an MH-871 MK2 a year ago as I was just starting out and not doing a whole lot...I am needing something else now..I still don't have the cash or the customer base for the Copam (I wish I could!) So what would you suggest? I was looking at the TC or LaserPoint I do a lot of letters, numbers, and intricate shapes (people, logos, etc...) Laserpoint says it's a mix of SC and TC but TC says it's the best of the value cutters...What are your suggestions as to the next machine before hopefully being able to buy a Copam...(I also need something around 30inches so if you are price comparing thats the size I would be getting) Thanks
