I bought a gcc jaguar IV froma company that used it as their floor model. It was supposed to come with greatcuts etc. I understand that greatcuts is not mac compatible BUT that disk also has the directcut program on it. Is there anyway to get the DIrectCut program by itself (free or not)? I have Signcutpro (another topic) seems to really have some issues with contour cutting. any help would be appreciated. Mike

New GraphTec CE-6000 40/60/120-amo Series
NichoDesign posted a topic in GraphTec Cutting Plotter Support Requests
I decided to buy a GraphTec ce5000-60 but just noticed today that there is a new cutter out there in the wild? The GraphTec ce6000! I checked the GraphTec site and couldn't find it. I did notice a small design change where the buttons and such are top, right vs to the side (right). Anyone have any specs or input on this. I'll hold off for a month or two before I'm buying. Hope it has better specs than 5000 because the price is about/is the same. I found the specs, plus I emailed GraphTec and they got to me with an email asking me where I lived so they can have the proper person contact me.- 3 replies

Hello Everyone, I have never joined a forum before so I hope this works. I am a newby sandblaster and have jumped in with both feet. I work with glass and stone, both with blastmask and photoresist. Currently I have a mentor who has all the equipment but I am now starting to get my own together. I purchase a magnum force cutter package from SCM, but I still haven't been able to use it after more than a month. The people at APD have been great, sending replacement pieces and working with me to try to get it working but.... The company I purchased it from has been sketchy in their help. It was advertised as being compatible with corelDraw but now I find that was corel 11 & 12 (old, old, old!!) and since I am using Corel X5 it won't work. I need a plottercutter (affordable) that has a minimum of 500 gr pressure as I only cut mask, not vinyl. Also I am looking for a photoresist UV lite...ie) letralite if anyone knows an inexpensive retailer of 1. I am really looking forward to reading about your hints, tips and experiences thanks

Cutting material on the Graphtec FC8000 without backing material
TomPattiDesign posted a topic in Vinyl Cutters
I am wondering what folks use as a backing material for cutting films that don't come from the manufacturer with backing materials? I am running a Graphtec FC8000-130 and I would like to cut a few specialty materials that are .0006" polycarbonate. These however don't have a backing material. What do I do if I want to run them through the plotter/cutter? Is there a material/adhesive film/transfer-tape-type-film that can be applied to substitute a "backing material"? TPD. -

lueman posted a topic in Roland Cutting Plotter Support Requests
Ok so I',ready to buy a new cutter! My LP 24 has performed beautifully and I am passing it on the my very gifted daughter, But I'm Ready for the next level. So which way should I go? The GX24 seems like the right machine but it's Gram force is only 200gr while the Gcc is nearly 400gr. which one is best? Best software, ease of use, versitality, durability?? all answers welcome!- 10 replies
