  1. I need some help on deciding what to get drop your opinion. I've done some research on titan 3 cutter and there's not much info out there or videos on how and what kind of cuts or quality it does? Does it get close to what a graphtec ce7000-60 plus do ?

I guess the question to ask is what are you wanting to do with your cutter? I don't have a Titan 3 or Graphtec 7000, but I do have a LaserPoint (i), Graphtec CE6000-60 Plus, and Titan 2. Between the three cutters, I would say that the Graphtec is by far, the most accurate of the all the cutters, and even though my first generation LaserPoint is over a decade old, I feel like it's better built than the Titan 2, though the Titan 2 is much quieter. I would say, if your budget allows, get yourself the Graphtec, or if you're looking for something little easier on the budget, then perhaps a good condition Graphtec CE6000.
  3. Anyone know if the Titan 2 is compatible with SBE? and if so, which cutter should be selected? TIA
  4. So about a month ago our computer crashed and we had to update and reinstall vinyl master on our new hard drive. I have been having issues with calibration. I called support and was told to possible change the carriage. A tech came out and changed the carriage however my laser arms and alignment are still cutting off my image. Is there not anyone in Dallas that knows this machine to help when your contour cut of an image is not cutting correctly? We have a hanging project until I can figure this out.

Have you checked the youtube videos? The cutter is a rebranded Saga vinyl cutter.. From what I have read, people seem to like the Titan 2 and 3 vinyl cutters. And they say good quality cuts. Those 2 have servo motors. It all has to do with getting a correct set up of blade depth and force, just like any other vinyl cutter. As far as speed, personally I cut slow, no need to run fast. It's not a race. We have OPs come in here and complain about new Graphtecs and we pretty much have to steer them into setting their blade depth correctly. That is the first thing that you have to get correct. It is posted on this forum hundreds of times. You do not use a credit card or post it notes to set your blade depth. That is about 10 times too much blade exposed out of the blade holder. It is a myth that just won't die. Even USCutter still puts that in their instructions, it is wrong. It looks like Titans are on sale. As always, buy the best that you can afford. https://uscutter.com/TITAN-3-Vinyl-Cutter-ARMS-28-53-68-inch/

    Contour and perf cutting issues

I don't have a Titan or use Vinyl Master BUT are you using a cutting mat under your vinyl? You would have to, or you would be gouging up your teflon cutting strip, if you are cutting all the way thru the vinyl. Or are you not cutting all the way thru? .Plus dulling your blades very fast.. The newer Graphtecs have a dual place blade holder, and the perf cuts are done over a channel, so as not to harm the cutting strip. I didn't think a Titan 3 had that, or could perf cut. I may be wrong, but newer Graphtecs, and Summa can perf cut. Looking at that video of UScutter. Vinyl Master, it looks like they have PrismCut vinyl cutter loaded up in the software. It may perf cut. Ask UScutter if the Titan 3 can perf cut. I see several questions being asked in the forum about The Titan 3 cutting thru and perf cut, No one is saying that it can.

    Contour and perf cutting issues

Thank you the response, yes we use a cutting mat under the sticker paper whenever doing this operation. The Titan 3 can accomplish Kiss cut, thru cut and perf cut. The Titan 3 will cut all three from 1 file. My question more relates to the software, specifically when editing the pressure of the second perf cut. The information is not changing from the first setting as in the video. So whichever pressure you set for the first cut, it maintains that pressure in all cuts for the object. You can say print 2 stickers on one page, both with 2 cuts, but handled as separate objects so 4 cuts in total. setting say the first sticker at a cut pressures of 80/160 for the cuts and the 2nd for 100/ 200 on the second sticker. The first cuts at 80/80 and the second cuts at 100/100. The second cut on each is a perf cut, but with no pressure change kind of defeats the purpose and will not cut through Yes, every other function changes the cut speed and grams just fine from software control. I do mostly vinyl cutting, but stickers are fun also. I just wanted to try the easy peel method and I must be missing something somewhere. The Titan 3 is very fast and quiet, it dose a great job and I am starting to make and post videos and sharing the information. Thank you again, Keith
  8. Hello - I'm wondering if anyone knows what the compatible blade is for the Titan 2 machine. My niece just got a machine (second hand), and I want to pick-up a couple of Clean Cut Blades for her, but am not sure which to select. TIA.
  9. Hello, New to the US Cutter world. Had Mimaki's in the past. I purchased a used Titan 3 28" cutter from a friend. He was unable to find the manual and software PSN so I had to purchase new VinylMaster Cut v5. I haven't been able to get it to communicate with the cutter. The Titan machine does make a test cut from the keypad on the Titan, but nothing from the VinylMaster software. Called tech support and they walked me through troubleshooting steps and determined my I/O board is bad. In Device Managers, under Ports, the USB Serial (COM3) does show up. Is this a common problem? I ordered the I/O board from US Cutter. Any tricks to installing it? Thanks, Nick Signs by Nick Denver
  10. I am trying to do the kiss cut and perf cut stickers on my Titan 3, Using VinylMaster DSR 5.0 I have followed the video "How To Perf Cut With VinylMaster" step by step and it will not use the edited perf cut setting, rather just the same pressure and speed set on the machine. Also using the ARMS system, but is this same method available using the barcode marks, which I have tried and does not work either. Maybe I missing something and would greatly appreciate some help Thank you

    Contour and perf cutting issues

Making your software work with the vinyl cutter is a Vinyl Master or UScutter job. Are you using 1 blade holder for both processes or 2 different blade holders ,blades set individually for each process? The process I have read with the Graphtecs, is to use 2 different blade holders. 1 is set for the contour cutting. I is set up with blade extended further out of the blade holder for the perf cutting. They don't change the force, maybe just a little. Blade holders/blades are preset to cut, for each option. with the blade in them. Just change the blade holder/blade, for each process. That's all I can add. There are only a handful of forum members here that answer questions. None of them have a Titan 3 vinyl cutter. Maybe some one else can add something.
  12. Can the Titan 2 with a stand, be used as a tabletop cutter, without the stand?
  13. I'm new to cutting vinyl. Just picked up the titan 3 a couple months ago and I'm finally getting around to trying it. I would like to cut some small logos for my shop. I'm thinking like 3" x 2.5" with lettering. Right now I'm using 45 degree cheaper Blades offered from the uscutter site. I'm using 631 vinyl. The small letters look alright but sometimes they pull up while I'm trying to weed. I did the test cut feature but it still seems to do it. Once I make the logo bigger it works better. What recommendations would you guys have? Thanks!
  14. Hi, I'm new to the forum and these topics. I'm looking to make stencils, paint masks, etc for pinstriping and air brushing. Also Vinyl lettering and exploring more about cutters possibilities. Also looking at input for the software. Like graphtec studio pro vs vinylmaster dtr vs coreldraw? I'm looking for a relative simple software that's beginner friendly. I'm not looking to hand create anymore. Looking for suggestions and ideas to exploring this new adventure. Thank you

    Titan 3 Perf Cut

I purchased the HP Latex/Titan 3 Combo and want to perfcut decals. Looking for someone who might be doing this already to save me a couple steps.
  16. Hi all, I run a USCutter TITAN 3 and so far have used oracal 651 for most of my projects. (walls, laptop skins). I was wondering what people were using for car decals. I know you can use 651 on glass. 651 being calendered vinyl doesn't like to bend too much from what I have seen. I have a project coming up where the decal will need to go on a front fender that has a pretty good contour. Would 651 applied via wet method (using paper transfer tape) still be the best approach? Or would using something like oracal 751 (cast) work better to conform to the contour? I have had made a couple of laptop skins using 651 and applied using the dry method and plastic transfer tape. I always end up with a lot of small bubbles and while the vast majority tend to go away a week later, I still some. Which lead me to thinking that perhaps using either a wet application or 751 would work better. Also wondering what transfer tape (Both paper and plastic) recommend with 651/751. Thanks and I hope everyone is having a good Christmas!
  17. I've been having very frustrating cut depth issues with my Titan 2 I use for personal work at home. I've spent a lot of time calibrating and replacing parts, but its like it's impossible to find the happy medium... I use a graphtec at my job, and the blade holder uses a spring loaded blade so there's less calibration for depth. You more just need to adjust the pressure. Has anyone done or have any insights on retrofitting a spring loaded blade holder on a titan or cutter that has a fixed blade?
  18. Hello, I have purchased a TITAN 3 for its wide cutting capability, but I have a big issue. We cut small vinyl (car stickers) in quite large quantities, several hundred per day. Until now, we were cutting these files on a Roland (using Versaworks), which has an automatic nesting and grouping function. However, now I'm considering transitioning to the new tool. I have subscribed to VinylMaster, but I don't know how I can import multiple files at once and then cut them simultaneously using the nesting function of the software. Since I am new to using the software, a step-by-step explanation would be very helpful, or if you can find one, a video showing how to do this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much!
  19. So I just got the Titan II after previously owning the USC Laserpoint II. I already have Vinyl master installed on my PC but I'm having trouble connecting my new cutter. I was able to connect the device to Vinyl master via Auto detect after installing the drivers but I still cannot find my cutter on the "Current Cutter" options. See attachment. Do I need to reinstall vinyl master with the new product key even though I already have it??
  20. Bought a used non working Titan 3 68 inch from an individual. Powers up, green led on power supply, fan runs, display and buttons light up, but is blank. Replaced carriage board and gained that now when powered up it says us cutter and titan 3 in display then goes blank. Replaced motherboard and display is same but also now the carriage move to the right side now and that is it. The only button on the control panel that gets a reaction is the reset button, all others no response. Have replaced the carriage ribbon wire with new and same results. Have tried all combinations with both Carriage boards and both motherboards and both carriage ribbons with no change. I have a green led on solid and a red led flashing on the motherboard. I've been working with Greg and Steve from support but neither have been able to tell me what the flashing red LED means. They are in the process of trying to get me a new control panel but I have mine out and looks good. I asked for all new ribbon cables and a new i/o board but they thought the i/o board wasn't the problem. My ribbon cable on my display appears to me to be permanently attached but they say not. I've got cuts a lot pro 5 loaded om laptop with usb cable, no change, and laptop does not recognize cutter. Any suggestions. And thank you to support, they have made every effort to get this thing going but haven't come up with the correct answer. What am I missing here? Possibly a bad wire from power supply over to the right side. New motherboard could be bad? Has correct part number on packaging. There's not much else to go bad , is there? Right now I'm hoping it is the white ribbon cable going up to the display. The push button board looks perfect, can't see anything wrong there. The white cable on the display has a couple kinks in it but no bare spots. All connections were still siliconed except where the i/o board cable plugged into the motherboard. Thanks in advance.
  21. You will find that most of us old timers will say, Buy a Graphtec. OR buy the best that you can afford. I have never had a problem with my Graphtec EVER, unless user error starting out. A Titan is a rebranded Saga vinyl cutter. We know the track record for a Graphtec, mine is 16 years old, bought new ,never a problem. With Saga, you would have to check how long on the market. All vinyl cutters come with cutting software. You can download the trials and see if you would like them. Vinyl Master Cut and Sure Cuts A lot comes with All Titan and lower cutter vinyl cutters. Graphtec has it's own cutting software, and if using windows, they also give you Graphtec Pro Studio, which is over a $1000 software, made by and similar to Flexisign pro software.

Using Siser Romeo with Vinylmaster LTR

Hi again Jill, thanks for checking back with that reply from FC support. I think you misunderstood the answer that FurtureCorp. gave you. What they seem to be saying is that the Siser cutter is not featured within their regular VinylMaster program(s) and is "proprietary" for the LDS software to pair with it. In other words, they don't have a Siser machine driver built into any of their Vinyl-Master branded products, and only the Leonardo Studio can provide that. That being said, you have found a work-around program with ECS, which fortunately has a driver for your unit. (FutureCorp. was telling you that THEIR apps aren't compatible, but as you've discovered, there is some other developer which placed the Siser cutters into EasyCut's program coding.) Just out of curiosity, what attracted you to the SISER unit? Was there some feature or configuration you liked, versus a regular USCUTTER Chinese knock-off of Roland-type cutters? (SC2, or LP3, Prism-Cut or Titan models?)
  23. Ok I just got a titan 2 after owning a vinyl express a long time ago. Been out the game about 6 years. On my old machine I could load vinyl and hit enter and it would size my vinyl so I knew what size media I had to work with. Does the titan do this or am I missing something. So far I just load it and guess lol
  24. Hello US Cutter friends! I'm in need of a bit of help with my new TITAN 15" cutter. I'm using cutter software of my own sourcing, as I need to command the cutter in a very simple but particular ways to accomplish my cuts (basically just giving the machine HPGL code), but in order to do so I need to know the COM, TCP/IP, and which PORT to use for my new TITAN 15" cutter. Can any of you help me? Thank you for any help you can provide. I'm happy to answer any questions you may have. Cheers, -FF
  25. Hello… I am really struggling on something . I currently use a silhouette cameo and it literally runs all day and all night… I use it to cut stencils to make wood signs. The lettering are use can be big or a can go to a 1/4”. I have a mac and are you sure cuts a lot for all my designs. Money is tight… really tight. I understand the benefits of a servo motor....im desperately in need of a better machine than what I currently is… But again money is very tight. Can you all chime in on options for me… Even if I went with the original titan would I see some great improvement over what I currently use!?! Feeling so overwhelmed -big and important secision thank you cindi
