saw US is running a sale on Avery PC 500 outdoor vinyl. Reading on it its a 4yr vinyl. was wondering if anyone has experience using it and what they thought of it. . Greenstar came in the bundle with my cutter. wasn't happy with it. I mainly use oracal now. but looking into doing some other things now. this vinyl seemed pretty cheap. just wondered if it was better than than greenstar , or am I going to have the same or worse results

guess I will checking this out. ordered a couple rolls trying to match up a few colors for a cust. and figured it was worth lil trial an error work. 1 is trying to match up safety green. anyone know which vinyl is close to that? also ordered some fluorescent green.

my 1st sales job I sold picture framing supplies to the whole east coast of nc. i fugure $ comes in to factor as far as your 1st cutter.unfortunately most bundles are set up for the seller to come out ahead, not the buyer. I know I don't like the cheap vinyl that came in my bundle and don't use it anymore. like i posted, I'm looking for a smaller cutter. and i looked at the different 1s available like the 1 you posted. from what ive learned in my lil time cutting , i feel a 24" cutter is better suited for a lil bit everything. plus ive ordered all my vinyl on 24" rolls. I'm still trying decide on my next cutter. for sure will be a 24". I'm trying to decide whether to between buying a used high end cutter like a roland or such, or a new titan 2. or just keep waiting until i can afford a new upper end brand. definitely will have a servo cutter this time. my sc cutter with a stepper sounds like the space ship in the close encounters movie when cutting. since you was already shopping amazon. you can pick up a titan 2 on there with free shipping for 850 and get 12 months 0% on an amazon card. that's how i bought my 1st cutter. I have a titan 2 in my cart on there now. lol. -

no 1 had any experience with this? I'm working on an order for mask or something to use as mask, plus thought this maybe a great alternative for an inexpensive vinyl for some signs I'm making that will prob end up more in man caves or such inside than anything else. any advice or comments is greatly appreciated

yep, that was my thoughts after reading your previous post. I'm sure the thoughts in the beginning was for them to give each shop a few samples , mayb even up to $100 in samples that would turn around to $1000s in orders from these shops. but if like you said, floods of hobbyists got all they could for free .then only ordered minimums in return , def makes for a huge flop in that marketing idea. with me being a newbie.....I just ordered samples of stuff I haven't tried, plan on trying it out, making a display sample and hopefully turn it into profit for all.

I think that's the usual. 1 messes it up for the masses

will look into the cost of it verse the mask. update. your sir are correct. looks like 631 is cheaper. buying 24' by the foot compared to 810s .10 a foot. 631 -813 $21.25 - $26.49 now I know the 1 is good for spray paints , which is something I'm wanting to try next. most I have been doing so far is with a latex and a brush I use 651 on the metal signs I make like those

I'm going on a yr from the purchase of my 1st cutter , I wished I had found this forum 1st . def would've started with a different cutter, well maybe. my beginner cutter has served its purpose. I will be upgrading soon, but going with a smaller cutter. something with a 24" cut. I started with an 54" sc starter bundle. not a major 1 so I feel I got a decent deal on mine. I would prob upgraded to a titan 2 if I was doing it over again. but with my beginners knowledge and ability, the 54" allowed me to make my 1st sign look like an experienced pro did it -
been a really warm winter here. last few days were 70* days, ive worn shorts all winter. I keep waiting for us to have to pay for all this nice weather

Ok I know I'm new at all this, but this 1 I'm not sure what I did wrong. I thought adding these was pretty cut and dry. so I click to add the weeding lines, use the pop up box to add a few , checked it all in preview before cutting. then cut, a couple letters came out with the weeding line cut thru. what did I do? how do I correct this

I used just a few drops of super glue on the places it sagged, but most held.

Thanx! I guess we know where their going now. lol. Dang, I guess I will order a few more sets for my enclosed trailer. I will get mine out and see what they are. the remote that came with my set has all kinds of functions, most I will never use.

I guess I should've posted a pic of mine. after @PrimalDecals sent me a pic of his I had to follow his lead. but I think his is brighter than mine.I was using a small led flashlight for setting things up or looking at the cuts I also ordered mine from amazon and got them the next day. and like someone else posted mounted my remote with velcro on top of my cutter. soon as I as I can find a use ,I will use the remaining 12ft

any of you do mobile decals? like at festivals and such. I'm thinking about setting things up in an enclosed vending trailer

I'm also a newbie but had a similar issue when my cutter came in. and I was putting it together on a sat. a lot of good help here. I have learned more here than anywhere online. prob help out if tell what model cutter u have. and have u used to cut with before and this just started? -
when I was using that version of vm I had to do mine in AI . you need to have the letter or above versions to do an arch
-
my sc cutter came with the basic vinyl master software. it doesn't support designing an arch. my friend Primal taught me how to do it in adobe illustrator. made life a lot easier.
-
@Primal Decals . I was wondering about being able to do this. I'm thinking about setting up something mobile in a enclosed trailer. want everything easy to move
-
I have an 54" sc cutter. only tracking issue was because of the markings to line up vinyl on my cutter were not the same ft to back. I now measure and also do as MZ SKEETER said. pre feed the vinyl back and forth to make sure it is feeding straight.
