Have you watched the tutorials on Edge Crafts website ?

    OUTLINING A NUMBER

Watch the tutorials . It might not sink in all at first , but SCALPro does a good job . I like the outline feature in SignBlazer better though . I just got LXi Master and it has the best outline features I have seen or used .

    New font into SB ?

Ack Ack a Dak , Dak Dak a Ack !!! This subject has been covered many times . If you want to learn even more , try searching . I have noticed that most members tend to stop replying to certain repetitive requests after a few years . The newer members takes over until they get tired of repeating things , then the newest crowd answers sometimes . This place has not stayed as active and sometimes it takes a bit longer to get an answer . Nothing wrong in asking/requesting anything imo . If anything it promotes the new crowd to particapate and answer/join in .

    Mountain justic

That would be the " we " part ... " We will kill you back ... " . Nice saying/philoaophy , but laws amd enforcement change . In Texas , it is still very much grass roots justice . I read where somebody took a high powered rifle and shot the guy dead , that was taking his vehicle off the property 1/8 mile away . Turns out it was a repo guy doing something illegal . The guy was never charged at all with anything . In Texas it is legal to shoot/kill someone for stealing . In Maryland , you are supposed to call the cops and either move out of the way or help the thief ..

    Some work, mostly tshirts

Nice stuff . I don't care for the water drop outline on the In Memory decal though . I use a solid heart and a heart outline ( SignBlazer library ) for those . edit ; just looked at it again and figure that is a tear drop ??

    Cutting Incorrectly

I would think/hope that contacting Edge Craft would get a faster answer ( sounds like it is tiling to me also ) . The last couple e-mails I sent them were never replied to .They started out like gangbusters as far as support , but seems they dropped support here like a hot potato . I have not done any updates recently , but the version i have cuts great for me .
  8. Well .. at least you had that claim for awhile . The cheap units are good to start/try out heat pressing ... a cheap back-up also .
  9. He He , I actually was posting last night about how I bought a $200 6 in 1 heat press from e-bay years ago & was/am happy with it .. then decided not to enter the conversation , but now I willl .... " I bought a 6 in 1 heat press and love it and it was worth every cent " . I like the Hotronix air operated heat press I bought even more , but the 6 in 1 was a cheap way to experiment . Many decide that it isnt for them .. That is why I bought the unused Hotronix for $100 last winter ( people got tired of that business and sold out everything ) . I bet they would have been better off buying a 6 in 1 heat press rather than buying 2 Hotronix at around $1,500 each . The 6 in 1 is not a bad back up no matter what .

Cajun gal new to the vinyl world

Many times the actual level/straight line is not the optical level/straight line in my experience . I tape the decal on and look and ponder . If it is for myself , an easy decision . If for others , I'll ask them to decide . I try not to install for anybody because alignment is very subjective at times .
  11. Thanks for the mention and thanks for the contribution . You are a nice fit here

    Shadow with an Offset

Try the outline feature . I like/use that much more than the shadow feature

    Signblazer problem

I agree , " If " only it had continued with support and development ... " If " the evolved software gets released with support and development . I have seen the evolved software that was presented to USCutter & it was basically Elements with some features of HotShot/Pro included . I think the cost per copy paid was the main issue with USC and the evolved software not making a deal . I think the lack of support here for SCALPro is about that also .

    Signblazer problem

Anybody who says they know " all " the tricks/featires " of SignBlazer is trying to fool themselves more than others imo . Jay and Mike O'Brian ( Mobby ) know more than anybody i know . I don't use many features and there is an immense amount I dont know , so no chastising or feeling foolish . We are here to help and benifit from each other

    Signblazer problem

Slice , you need to check the buttons on the bottom right for the grid . You can set the grid spacing there also . The grid comes in your choice of colors as long as it is faint yellow .

    Refurbished or New Copam??

I would buy the refurb . I have 2 24" Copams & they have done anything I wanted . It is always nice to have the best , but the Copams are the best bang for the buck imo . If you are doing tiny decals or long decals , buying a better cutter would be worth it . I have seen BannerJohn cut very small decals with MH series and I have cut very small decals and text with Cole Casual font , which is harder to weed than most fonts with no problems at all . Until a person gets experience with blade exposure and cutting pressure , they would have some difficulty with the best cutter .

    Vista or XP

I don't know how much a legit XP license would cost . I have 1 off of an old computer , so keep a lookout for an old comnputer with the XP info on it .

    John Deere Trackor

Bear ... Bear ... Bear ... What that means to me is you don't work very good at all !!! I have had several of the Ferguson tractors and they are what a model T is to a new vehicle compared to modern tractors . So light in the front the tires last forever . I have a 18 hp 755 JOhn Deere and a 15h hp Kubota that does a much better job , plus have power steering . I have several bigger tractors at the farm & could not imagine trying to mow the steeper hills with a Fergusen . BUT .. what you said confirms what I already thought about you ... you are as hard and tough as nails and a USC Super Hog !!!

    John Deere Trackor

Those are the old tricycle tractors . 2 cyl machines that made the saying " put put " famous ( very low rpm ) . A newer model file should not be that hard to find or to vectorize if just finding a picture . Those tractors get alot of use in old tractor pull class's , but not many are actually working anymore .. If they are , the driver is near as old as the tractor and is tough as nails .

    Standard procedure or ????

You can add fonts to your " favorite font " section . Then toggle the button by the font selection . It is in the " View " option . All , Favorites or This Project are the options . There is a heart+ to the right of the font description to add fonts to your favorites .
  22. If you are using SCALPro , there is a multi-Cut that needs to be turned off in the cut window . The cut strip is the plastic strip that is under the area the blade cutting area . The blade is not supposed to ever touch it . Blade exposed too much will cause that & damage the strip .

    Throwing away my MH

I enjoy a saying that BannerJohn states sometimes . " A POOR craftsman blames his tools " . I have read things about the MH series for years . The older versions are better than the newer ( I tell women that about men ) . John has used a MH to do everything he has wanted and so have any more . All I have used is a CoPam and have no complaints ( it is cut vinyl , not air-brushing or hand lettering ) . I guess the $250,000 vinyl printer I watched at a sign show is near the top of the line , but vinyl cutters still have a good use . Sounds like the OP MH needs some service or repair . Any piece of equipment is going to need that at some point .
  24. I see Stetty was on the forum last winter . Anybody have contact info ?? The link to his website does not work
