    Cutter stutters on straight lines..

I'll try the oil. I have used 2 separate blades thinking that may be the issue. I also have taken the blade out and checked the carrier to remove anything. Every thing else cuts flawlessly, just the right to left straight lines.. I'll have to get to the store for oil.
  2. I've messed with my pressure and speed to no end and I keep getting the same issue. When I am cutting a square, the cutter cuts perfectly from left to right and up and down, but when it cuts right to left it seems as if the blade is stuttering and making the straight line jagged. Then when i take it off the machine I need to cut it by hand in those spots. It does this the entire width of the line. It seems like the blade isn't turning correctly in the holder and it is actually cutting with the blade in the opposite direction. At least that's my thought. Any ideas or thoughts? Like I said I've lowered my speed to the slowest and raised to the fastest, adjusted my pressure both up as far as I can without cutting through paper and as low as I can. Yet I still have this happen. If the width is only an inch or two it doesn't seem to be an issue, but anything larger and it leaves these jagged cuts. Thanks in advance!!

    Copam CP-2500 Setup Problems

No, this is now on a windows machine with flexi. That was for my Mac, which I gave up on and got a windows machine. Now I'm having this exact problem. I'm going to reinstall flexi tomorrow and go from there. I'm really just at a loss at this point. Had the machine since Tuesday and can't get it to cut normally.. I'm assuming it's a driver problem of sorts, just not sure what the problem is. I've tried all the suggested drivers though. Copam 3500, DGI OM60, Roland PNC1000. I've tried parallel, USB, USB to serial (keyspan) adaptor, serial.. UGH.. I'm optimistic though!!

    Copam CP-2500 Setup Problems

Again, this is an old one but any answers on this? I am having the EXACT same issue. I know it's not the plotter because it cuts fine in signblazer. The only difference is I have a 3500. I have tried serial port, USB, and parallel all to no avail. Anything? Please?
  7. No local stores carry that brand so I did purchase a staples branded serial to USB adaptor. This doesn't help at all. Doesn't even see the plotter that way.
  8. I just received my copam cp-3500 plotter and my copy of flexistarter 8.5 for Mac. I got the software running like it should with the dongle thanks to another post about drivers. I can get production manager to see the plotter via USB cable. My problem is when attempting to cut. I send the job to plotter and it begins to cut. Then about halfway through it stops cutting leaving the plotter stuck on "Cutting" and the job either shows complete on production manager or stuck at some random percentage. I've read some posts regarding USB not being ideal, but I have no serial ports on my Mac. So my ONLY option is USB. Please if anyone has ANY opinions or suggestions I would greatly appreciate it!! I'm stuck with have cut vinyl!
