Welcome from hell... or sorry.. I mean Arizona.

Made this to maybe try and clear stuff up. I currently have the setup of #1 on all 3 rollers. When I go to #2 on all rollers is when it wont catch the vinyl and doesnt move. If I put two rollers like #1 and one pinch roller like #2 then that is when it will bunch up and it bunches up from the rollers, not the blade. I really really appreciate the current tips. I agree with dakotagrafx about the credit card depth. I never tried it but it is just easier to cut off some vinyl and test the blade depth but cutting circles in the vinyl and making sure it doesnt cut the bottom layer.

Matches up perfectly. Thank you so much!

Cleaned up my font folder thinking I had it backed up and it ended up that I didnt. I am pretty sure it is one of the many fonts that come with Adobe CS6 but I dont want to reinstall Photoshop/Illustrator so thought I would ask here. The y is modified so I wouldn't expect much off it but the rest isnt. Thank you in advance!

Can easily make one but really its more of the space needed for the stand instead that causes the issue :/ -
LaserPrint 24" Keeps cutting through vinyl...
TauntDevil posted a topic in LaserPoint Cutting Plotter Discussion
Hello, Sorry that this is my first post and I also know that the title doesn't make much sense. Basically, the issue is that I send to my printer to cut out some decals but once it finishes each one, it will cut three lines through the decals which causes them not to look great and also to be a pain when weaving. The application I am using is Sure Cuts A Lot Pro 3. I am trying to cut through Vinyl but each time, no matter the size. It cuts these lines through the decal. Additional Info - Using 45 degree blade with 0.25 offset. 400mm/s and 108g for pressure. Checked over the designs that I tested with and in the program, it doesnt show any lines going through other than grid lines which go through different parts of the decals. When weaving, it is enough to pull out but will pull some of the decal with it as well so assuming not far out enough blade by just a slight. Not sure what other information may help. Any advice that may resolve the issue possibly? Thank you in advance! -
LaserPrint 24" Keeps cutting through vinyl...

So.. I don't want to post another thread for this simple question I have about the cutter but since I couldnt exactly find what I was looking for, I guess I will ask in this thread. I don't have a stand for my cutter. It is currently sitting on a table which I enjoy because below it, I can put tools and all for weeding, etc into. But because the vinyl is in rolls and is not below the cutter, how do I make sure it is aligned with the cutter when doing large cuts or many cuts? The tutorials only show with a cutter and to align the vinyl on the backside measuring marks to the front side, however, when on the table, it is kind of hard to do so without kinking thicker vinyl? Everytime I search for the answer, all I find is how to do it with a stand and not without. Sorry all. -
I have the Laserpointer II and have yet to have any issues. However, I do not have a stand and I wish it was a 32" instead of a 24" (future purchase I guess). Other than that, I haven't had any noticeable issues. Currently using it with USB as well (Keyspan got lost in a move and too broke to buy another). Im sure others will have more promising suggestions since I haven't used mine for very long and am still trying to learn stuff with mine. Best of luck!

Are you looking to add something as far as airbrush and paint or decal wise?

I think #2 will look better in multiple colors but would recommend a different font and removing the www. portion of the link. Just my $0.02. Looks good though!

Hope this helps and isnt going too fast. If so, can pause to read the subtitle stuff.

I appreciate the tip. Trying it that way, it did a bit better. I use hard plastic squeegies (came with starter kit I think) and push down pretty hard to try and get all the bubbles out. I usually use paper transfer tape but have been trying to switch over to clear because the majority of people I give the stickers too prefer to be able to see the designs and where they are placing them on their car. I really appreciate it!

^ Thanks. Anyone know about the issue with the transfer tape though? Seems to be my biggest issue. Also, I just noticed I posted this in the wrong section and I apologize. Thought I was posting in the General Help section. If someone could please move this thread there, would be awesome! Sorry!

The inner ghetto mechanic side of me says JB weld it... It certainly wont move after...

jagged lines and not cutting completely straight lines!

I would check with the nodes and see if it is seeing something different. Just my $0.02. As far as if the nodes are correct, I am not exactly too sure what to recommend afterwards and am in hope that the nodes is what is the issue so I don't sound too dumb haha -
From experience of doing designs and templates of automotive stuff, what has worked the most is using tape. Tape the item with roughly 2 layer of tape (just going over it twice) and then using a razor blade, cut where the ends would be if you were to make a template. Then flatten and scan the result. Difficult to explain in text and when I get back home next week, I will try and make a tutorial video. I hope this helps in the meantime. Something to try too.

If I need something simple (Not major details) and is common. I usually will go to dafont and download dingbats of what I am looking for.

cutter head goes across before cutting

May want to try re-aligning the machine. Otherwise, it sounds like maybe a setting in the software to check edges/end points maybe? explains how to re-align the machine0:55 - 3:50 Hope this helps. -
Interesting that this is an issue. I have yet to get any complaints relating to this issue but everytime I am done with stickers, I will cut one of the edges on the back side to make it easier to peak for myself (and has become a habbit). Basically just a low pressure cut since its quick and usually does the job well enough. Similar to opening a packet of medicine where on the plastic, the other side of it has a corner that bends and is peelable. Hope this helps.

Hello all. Have been lurking around and thought I would post one of my.. err current favorite decal I made as a gift to my mother. Her favorite Cartoon character is Gossamer from Bugs Bunney and the Abominal Snow Rabbit. She is also a cat fan and currently has two cats that are black. One named Dexter and the other is named Zen. I am not the creative type. I lack creativity when it comes to drawing or designing as I can see it in my mind but for some reason, I cannot make it on paper, illustrator, etc etc. Anyhow, this is what I made for her: The overlay aquired a few bubbles but they should come out when it gets put somewhere. The words were a pain. Took me roughly 3 or 4 hours to weed out the wording just because of how small they are and that I am still new to all this so the cuts were not perfect. Still trying to figure out the perfect blade pressure and exposure. Hope you guys like it as well.
